Now that there is wider access to AI, what is one creative way that a job seeker could leverage the AI tools available to them during the search, recruiting or hiring process?
There are many AI tools to help job seekers. Some examples include using JobScan which allows job seekers a way to find out if your resume is ATS friendly, creating a professional headshot using PFPMaker, building a portfolio quickly with Framer, and beginning to write a resume or cover letter using ChatGPT or Bard. It’s important to always fact check content and use it as a starting point.

What is the No. 1 reason why a coaching client might fail to see the ROI with your coaching practice, and how can they avoid this?
Some clients end up not wanting to do the work, so, I oftentimes shift my approach with them. In this case, I provide more handholding and check-ins to hold them accountable. Not all clients should be treated the equal. Similar to management, you will have high performers and ones who are not as driven. It’s important for coaches to have the ability to dial up or down based on client’s needs.

When a manager is talking with a direct report and realizes the employee's emotions are running high, what is the first step the manager should take to ensure a productive conversation?
When emotions run high from a direct report, it is recommended that a manager remind the direct report to concentrate on the facts of the situation and assume positive intent which oftentimes diffuses the situation.

What is one thing leaders don't often say to their employees but should, and why don't they?
Good leaders empower their teams to do their best work and should have 1:1 discussions with frequent conversations where they ask, “how are you feeling?” This builds trust and a safe space to open up. Oftentimes, managers oversee work instead of coaching and mentoring employees on their career growth and concerns they have from their perspective.
